Dillon's 1st Christmas

Dillon's 1st Christmas was so much fun! We had 5 different celebrations. Batesville 3 times, Noblesville once and Indianapolis once. He loved the wrapping paper and thought that was so cool! He loves all of his new toys and has started to play with all of them. We introduce a new one every couple days so he doesn't get too overwhelmed.

Though the celebrations ended with a cold of sorts, dripping snot out of the nose and he couldn't breathe well out of his nose either. Such a treat for Mom and Dad of course.

Happy Baby!

One of the best joys for me is to see my sweet boy laugh and smile at me! He just brings a smile to your face (and everyone he comes in contact with really!).

Here is one of him laughing at me while eating dinner. I was suggesting to him to "hold on to the spoon" which is what you hear me saying in the background!

9 month stats & sippy cup

Dillon is 9 months and we went to the doctor today. He weighed in at 21.5lbs (55%) and 18.5 inches long (35%) so he is not above 50% in height which we were hoping for, shoot!

Dillon still has some reflux and that is probably why he is getting so upset in the middle of the night. So I bought a wedge to put in his crib and hopefully that will help.

He also loves the sippy cup, yahoo!!

He is so close to crawling forwards. He gets on all 4's and rocks and does the bridge and goes from sitting to all 4's and all 4's to sitting. Come on D! And he can clap which is so fun!

Thanksgiving and Dillon is 9 months old

I can't believe my sweet boy (that is what I have called him from birth) is 9 months old. Oh how the time flies!

Dillon spent his first Thanksgiving in Chicago with my Mom's side of the family. We haven't celebrated a holiday with them probably since Chris and I met (and just in case Chris is reading this, we met in March 2002.....). My Mom's sister, husband and son arrived the Sunday before in Chicago and Mom, Dillon and I drove up on Monday and Chris, Dad and Blake arrived on Wednesday. It was very special to spend time with them. And to see how much fun they all had with Dillon. He of course didn't get to eat anything special for Thanksgiving just the usual baby food and milk kind of thing. Though he did end our trip there with his 4th tooth coming through the gums and his first ear infection. Thank goodness there is a good doctor on call for us!!

Dillon's newest trick is to clap on cue which is pretty fun for us! We say Dillon clap and of course clap our hands and he does the same it is so stinkin' cute! He is ready to crawl and I thought for sure he would be crawling by Thanksgiving because he is rolling over like crazy and rocking back and forth on all 4's and scooting everywhere and crawling backwards we just can't seem to go forwards for whatever reason (maybe his size.....). Oh well I suppose.

We are looking forward to seeing family over the next couple weeks for the holidays!

Our favorite photographer, Kelly Applegate took Dillon's 9 month photos and some family photos and this one was one of my favorite of course. The way he looks at me just brings tears to my eyes! I love you sweet boy! Once I send out our holiday cards I will post the rest of our awesome photos!
